Regularity

How often do you blog?

Do you tend to blog on the same days each week?

I read a blog critique yesterday that suggested you blog on the same days so people know when to look out for you. It was also suggested that you make it clear which days you intend to blog.

I think this is a great idea, but do worry that I may slip up. If I say I'm going to post on a certain day, then I want to deliver.

In spite of my doubt, I'm going to make an effort to blog every Monday and Friday, so keep an eye out for me :)

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.

  1. I try to blog everyday (Desperately selling books;my one year marketing plan) but sometimes I'm not inspired and I don't want to post just for the sake of writing. Sometimes I'm inspired and sometimes I'm not but there has to be some form of discipline, blogging is a commitment. I usually don't go longer than a couple of days. But I've come to enjoy the routine and I didn't expect that.

  2. I know what you mean, I want to make sure my blogs are worthwhile and it's hard coming up with inspiration sometimes. Although I do find, the more you blog, the more ideas come to you.

  3. Happy to meet a fellow writer/blogger. I post twice a week. Thinking of bumping it up to three, soon. Once you find your niche, you'll sink right into it. :)

  5. I currently post twice a week, always on a Friday which is a regular feature, and then either a Monday or a Wednesday. I'm thinking of making it Monday and Wednesday now I'm joining in more bloghops and things. I don't put a schedule on my blog because then I have to blog, right now I do it because I want to.

With most people having readers, I wonder how important it really is anyway. Now I'm following you, whenver you post, I'll know about it, no matter what day it is :-)

  7. Love this! I have a class of verocious readers and authors and I lovewhat you have written about your process of writing or cooking your ideas and then also your commentary on if the writing distracts you or draws you in. I would love to share these ideas and this blog with them - appropriate for 11 year olds or no? Conratulations on documenting you journey. For me, the public admission or commitment to the days i will blog would kill some ofthe joy for me. If it works for you keep it up though!

  8. I'm happy for you to share any of my journey :) Before becoming a mom I taught 11-13 year olds :) This blog is would be totally fine for them.

Announcing my blogging days is a trial run. If it doesn't work, Ill ditch it. Hopefully it will though.
    I appreciate your opinion :) Thanks :)
